Week 63: Back in Germany!

We are back in Germany and it has pretty much taken us all week to get caught back up on everything. We are still working on catching up on sleep.

Brooklyn has decided she wants to earn her own money because we’re too cheap 😂. She has been networking in the American community here to find dog sitting and baby sitting jobs and had a job lined up every day this week. We’re going to start charging her rent soon!

We had two dinners with some of our friends who are getting ready to move back to the States. They were staying at the Marriott by our house which surprisingly has a really good restaurant. I say surprisingly because I don’t normally plan to be blown away by food from a hotel but we definitely plan on going back.

We also had a sushi night with some other friends, as we had all been scattered all summer. We went to another restaurant by our house that we hadn’t been to before, Anami, and it was so good. Another place we are adding to the list of regulars.

Saturday was Nick and Natia’s going away party. We celebrated at our favorite spot, the Sindelfingen Biergarten.

Sunday, we headed back to the Barefoot Park. Brooklyn had mentioned it was one of her favorite things that we’ve done so far, so we wanted to make sure we got her back there.

There is a ropes course right next to the Barefoot Park so we gave that a try afterwards. Brooklyn went to another ropes course with Girl Scouts in May so she was already an expert. We were so proud of Ryan too; he hates heights and had a splinter in his foot from the Barefoot Park but was such a champ about doing this for Brooklyn.
