My parents and I pulled off a huge surprise this weekend! Friday, I flew home to meet my new nephew, Tate. We didn’t tell my sister I was coming in advance. My parents picked me up from the airport and drove me straight to their house, where they had invited themselves over for dinner. My parents snuck me in the back door and got me on the couch holding the baby before they called Alli into the room. Usually, Alli knows right away when something is up but I think we really did pull off the surprise! Tate is absolutely adorable and I’m so, so happy I got to see him while he is still in the tiny baby stage!
Saturday, my mom and I drove to Ocean City. My best friend from high school was getting married and we were going to be there, hurricane or not!
Sunday, we headed back to Calvert and I spent the rest of the day, and Monday morning getting more baby snuggles from Tate. We even got a nap in together.
Monday night, I headed back to Germany, where I hope I can get caught up on my sleep.
