We have spent another (almost) two weeks at home, which hasn’t happened in who knows when, maybe May?
Brooklyn and I continued our tennis lessons and Brooklyn completed a one-week tennis camp at our tennis club. We played a couple nights in our neighborhood and she has made so much improvement!
Ryan is still going to summer camp and taken a couple of fieldtrips to the local pool, the movie theater, and the Rutesheim Ropes Course.
Daisy and Slinky went to the vet to get their shots updated and this wouldn’t normally be newsworthy but Daisy had a bad allergic reaction to the shots! This has happened to Slinky before and they administered his shots along with antihistamines. We learned Daisy should have had it as well. Luckily, we were able to treat it at home with children’s oral allergy medicine.

Matt is studying to take the CompTia+ exam at the end of August. He did have time to play in a golf tournament with some friends and they won the whole tournament.

Saturday was rainy so we went to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, which we’ve never been to before. It did not follow a timeline and wasn’t as in depth, or have as many displays, as the Mercedes Museum, but I liked that you could see the whole thing in less than two hours.

On Sunday, we were on a mission to find some sunflower fields south of our house and a Mexican food festival in Tübingen. After driving around the general area for about an hour, we found no sunflowers so continued on to Tübingen.
When we got to Tübingen, we could not find a Mexican Food Fest anywhere, but did find a huge Classic Car Festival spread out over town. It was a big hit with Ryan and Matt and even I found a Aperol “beach” but we all left pretty hungry.

On the way home, we drove past the sunflower fields (we took a different route). We stopped for a few pictures and realized these sunflowers were only about two feet high. The pictures can really fool you!

We finished off Sunday with dinner with friends in a Biergarten. It was a perfect day!
