Week 124: Stuttgart Volksfest

We had a nice, boring week at home! All the same school, work, and after-school activities. Stuttgart’s Volksfest is in full swing so Brooklyn stayed busy babysitting two nights this week, on top of her regular activities.

On Saturday, Ryan headed to the Rulantica’s indoor water park at Europa Park to celebrate a friend’s birthday, where they stayed overnight.

Also on Saturday, Brooklyn had another tennis match. They played a small school, with not as many players. This meant she only played a doubles match, which they won!

Saturday night, Matt and I headed back to Volksfest with a big group of friends. It was sooooo much more crowded this weekend. The weather was perfect and all of the tents were packed during the day, making it extremely difficult to even walk around during the time between when the day reservations ended and evening reservations began. We had two tables, end to end, for our group of twenty and it was an awesome night, except for the fact that they didn’t play Country Roads.

Volksfest Weekend Two

Sunday, Matt, Brooklyn, and I slept in as none of us got home until late (Brooklyn was babysitting while we were at the fest). We picked Ryan up from his friend’s around noon and relaxed the rest of the afternoon.

Sunday evening, we met in the Brauhaus Biergarten to say goodbye to our puppy friends, Tobi and Paisley, (and their owners), who are moving back to the US soon.

We finished the night at the Horse Farm Biergarten for a trip planning meeting with some friends. We have not been to the Horse Farm all year and it was their closing day so we are so glad we got there at least once, although we did not get much trip planning done.

Closing down the Horse Farm Biergarten for the season.
