Another weekend behind us! Nick stayed with us through Thursday. Matt and Nick played golf at the Stuttgart Golf Club one day, visited Triberg one day, and Strasbourg, France another day. We did biergartens in the evenings for dinner. On Thursday, they both drove up to Ramstein to play golf with Ray. Thursday night, MattContinue reading “Week 68: Italian Dolomites!”

Week 67: Back to School
The kids went back to school this week! Ryan started 7th and Brooklyn started 9th grade in High School! The house has been super quiet as both have been staying after school everyday and getting home around 5pm. We have been bird sitting this week for a friend who’s out of town. Bob and BelleContinue reading “Week 67: Back to School”
Week 66: Malta!
It’s the last week of summer vacation, and just like every other week, it flew by. Brooklyn had more babysitting and pet sitting jobs and both kids did tours of their schools in anticipation of school starting next week. Can’t believe Brooklyn will start high school this year! Thursday morning, we headed out of ourContinue reading “Week 66: Malta!”
Week 65: Wiesbaden Visit
Another crazy week has flown by. Brooklyn reached a big milestone and got her braces taken off! Ryan’s going to be getting his put on soon, but for now, we have a break from orthodontist visits. Besides that excitement, Brooklyn has been staying busy with babysitting and dog sitting. Ryan’s good friend from down theContinue reading “Week 65: Wiesbaden Visit”
Week 63: Back in Germany!
We are back in Germany and it has pretty much taken us all week to get caught back up on everything. We are still working on catching up on sleep. Brooklyn has decided she wants to earn her own money because we’re too cheap 😂. She has been networking in the American community here toContinue reading “Week 63: Back in Germany!”
Weeks 60 & 61: Home Alone
I spent two of the longest weeks ever at home alone! Just off the heels of an awesome vacation with the whole family, the house was suddenly so quiet! On top of that, most of our friends in Stuttgart, were traveling or back in the States, so there really wasn’t much for me to doContinue reading “Weeks 60 & 61: Home Alone”
Week 59: Slovenia and Summer Camp
After our cruise the previous week, we disembarked the ship on Sunday. The process of getting ourselves and the luggage back to the car was a lot easier and stress free than the process of getting on. We decided to not drive all the way back to Stuttgart in one day and instead crossed twoContinue reading “Week 59: Slovenia and Summer Camp”
Weeks 57 & 58: Cruising!
I’m getting pretty far behind on posting updates, but we have had a busy couple of weeks. Summer got off to a quiet start and we didn’t have much to report the first week except that we have hot water at our house again! The boiler is finally fixed. We did have a radiator burstContinue reading “Weeks 57 & 58: Cruising!”
Week 56: Berchtesgaden and Hallstatt
School FINALLY ended on Tuesday! The parents gathered at the middle school at the end of school and clapped out the eighth graders for finishing middle school. The kids spent the rest of the day, and then the rest of the week, hanging out with friends. Friday was my day off, so we hit theContinue reading “Week 56: Berchtesgaden and Hallstatt”
Week 55: Last Week of School!
The last week of school is finally here! The last day is next Tuesday, but it’s only a half day and exams are over this week so we are pretending we’re done for now. Since Ryan’s birthday is in July and he’ll be back in the U.S., we did a mini, early birthday for himContinue reading “Week 55: Last Week of School!”
